Dear District Polio Leadership Team,

We are pleased to make a "tool kit" of ideas that you may want use to help promote the 110th Birthday of Rotary and 30th Anniversary of the End Polio campaign (click here to download).  Past President Carlos Canseco announced the launching of Rotary's Polio Eradication effort on 23 February 1985.   This was the first and largest ever privately funded international public health initiative.  We are approaching the 30th Anniversary of that history making event.  Three years following Rotary's initiative we were joined in 1988 by the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention forming the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.  This organization remains in tact and is the driving force behind the polio eradication effort.

Please work with your club to do something on 23 February that brings attention to the great work that Rotary has done to help end this devastating disease.  Recognizing the late arrival of the tool kit, if there is insufficient time to make use of the ideas on the 23rd, please encourage using the ideas during the remainder of 2015 in support of Rotary's number one priority.

Thanks for all you are doing for the children of the world.
