The District 6440 Nominating Committee held its interviews for District Governor to serve in the year 2022-23 and selected Bill Kmiecik from the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights.

Bill has served the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights as president, vice president, treasurer and community service chair.  He currently serves on the club’s Foundation and Membership Committees as well as being on the Fun and Frolic Team.  In addition to his club activities, Bill has been an Assistant Governor and the District Annual Fund Chair for the past three years, a member of the District Visioning Team and he recently joined the District Finance and Foundation Committees.
Bill is an active member of his church and leads two men’s groups.  At church he has also served as a budget counselor as well as being a member of the Stewardship Leadership Team where his role was developing and leading classes for the constituents.  In the past he has served on other community boards.  Now he devotes all his time to church, family and Rotary.

Bill is a CPA and holds a master’s degree in taxation.  He began his career as an Internal Revenue agent, moved to corporate America and about 25 years ago left that to open a  boutique fee-only financial planning and investment advisory practice, where he still spends time today.

Bill is passionate about Rotary: the projects, the causes and the enthusiasm of the members.  He and his wife, Betsy, have been to Guatemala, Peru and Uganda on Rotary service trips, which, along with the people they have traveled with and the natives they have met, fires their enthusiasm for the ways in which we as Rotarians can meet needs around the world.

Bill and Betsy, who is also a Rotarian and member of the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights,  have two grown children: Brian, who is married to Stephanie, and Emily, who is in nursing school.

Pass along your congratulations and offers to help to Bill and Betsy.
