The District 6440 Nominating Committee last night selected Rodney Adams of the Rotary Club of Mount Prospect/Prospect Heights to be District Governor for the Rotary Year 2015-16. Please join me in congratulating Rodney on this honor.

Rodney Adams joined the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights Sunrise in 2004 and served as President during the 2009-10 Rotary year. During his tenure in the club, he served as Club Board Member, Club Service Chair and Membership Chair. After the merger of the Arlington Heights Sunrise and the Mount Prospect Sunrise in 2011, Rodney joined the Rotary Club of Mount Prospect/Prospect Heights which covered the area of both his law office and residence. He’s a multiple Paul Harris Fellow.

At the district level, Rodney was an Assistant Governor from 2010 to the present, serving Schaumburg AM, North Chicago and Lake Forest/Lake Bluff, followed by Mount Prospect/Prospect Heights and the Arlington Heights Noon club. Rodney served as District Membership Co-chair, a member of club visioning and is the District Membership Chair.

Rodney joined the U.S Army Military Police Corp in 1972 where he was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado and later Augsburg, Germany. Upon being Honorably Discharged from the military, he moved to California to attend College and became an active member on various political issues of the 1970’s before being hired by the US Treasury, IRS, SPS Technical staff and was transferred to Denver, Colorado.

Seeking a career change, he moved back to Illinois where he founded Benjamin’s Restaurant and met his wife Wendy Morgan. After they started their family, they concentrated their efforts on building what is now the Law Firm of Wendy R. Morgan where he has been the Administrator for over 25 years.

Rodney, (a native of Berwyn, Illinois), and wife Wendy Morgan-Adams (a native of Niles), have lived in Prospect Heights, since 1987 and before that Des Plaines. They have one child, Katherine Carol who is a lawyer with their firm and a Charter Member of the Arlington Heights Sunset Club.
